This will be Mrs. Stiles first year at Umpqua Valley Christian School. Prior to moving to Oregon, Mrs. Stiles taught at Bethany Christian Academy for nineteen years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Simpson University and two California teaching credentials. She is fun-loving and full of passion. Her greatest goal is to see students and adults alike fall in love with Jesus. She lives with her husband and three daughters in Roseburg, Oregon. Her primary job is to teach English and Science at a Christian school that is small in size, but BIG in its passion for Jesus. She can often be found teaching CPR, leading Bible studies, or teaching at retreats for women and high school students alike.
More than anything, she wants people to encounter the Jesus that is, not the Jesus she wants Him to be. She wants people to learn to love education, but more importantly to learn to love the author of creation and the purpose of education. Her goal is to create students who will change this world not because of how smart they are, but because of how wise they are in the ways of God. Her philosophy is: education without God is just facts, and will eventually fade away. Education founded on truth will serve them well into eternity.
